The Pyramid of Tirana is one of the most iconic and symbolic buildings in the Albanian capital. It was built in 1988 and was originally conceived as a museum dedicated to Enver Hoxha, the former leader of communist Albania. Over the years, the Pyramid has undergone many transformations, serving as a cultural center, exhibition space, and even as a symbol of the significant social changes the country experienced after the fall of the regime.
After a major renovation completed in 2023, the Pyramid has been transformed into a modern youth and technology center, hosting cultural, educational, and innovative activities. The new project preserved the original pyramid-shaped structure while converting the space into an open environment with walking terraces, stairs leading to the top with views over Tirana, and contemporary interior spaces.
Today, the Pyramid represents the new spirit of Tirana—a blend of history and a vision for the future. It has become one of the most visited spots by young people, tourists, and lovers of modern architecture, seen as a symbol of the city’s transformation and urban vitality.
