1.KANINA CASTLE

Kanina Castle is located 6 km away from the city of Vlora, on a hill 380 meters above sea level. The surrounding wall is 1 km long and encloses an area of 3.5 hectares. It is believed to have been built around the 4th century BC. Throughout the fortification system, several construction phases can be distinguished, spanning two periods: the ancient period and the medieval period, specifically Byzantine, Venetian, and Turkish. 

2.MUSEUM OF INDEPENDENCE

In this small house are the beginnings of the independent Albanian state, giving it a very special significance. Nearby are various busts, as well as monuments related to this period. The Museum of Independence is a cultural monument located near the Port of Vlora. The entire history and content of the materials are connected to Ismail Qemali, his working cabinet, and the period when Albanian Independence was declared. It is a modest two-story building with very original elements dating back more than a century.

3.MONUMENT OF INDEPENDENCE

The Monument of Independence is a monument in Vlora, Albania, dedicated to the Declaration of Albanian Independence. It was built by Kristaq Rama, Muntaz Dhrami, and Sh. Hadëri in Vlora in 1972 and is covered with bronze. The monument stands 17 meters tall. It rises in the city center at Flag Square. At the center of the sculptural group is the figure of Ismail Qemali, the first head of the Albanian state.

4.ANCIENT CITY OF ORIKUM

The ancient city of Orikum is located in Pashaliman, which is part of Vlora. The origin of this city dates back to ancient times, around the 5th century BC. According to historical sources, Orikum was mentioned as a port in Epirus by notable figures such as Herodotus and Hecataeus of Miletus.

5.MURADIE MOSQUE

The building is a construction from the 16th century, year 1542, and is an accomplished work of our architecture from that century. The Muradie Mosque is built with rows of stones and bricks that resemble the constructions of architect Sinan in Istanbul during that time. 

6.OLD CITY OF VLORA

The old city of Vlora has a rich history dating back to the 6th century BC, when it was known as Aulona. It was an important city in Southern Illyria and has witnessed major historical events, including the Declaration of Albanian Independence in 1912.

7.GJON BOCARI CASTLE

Gjon Boçari Castle is located on a dominating hill overlooking the Dukat plain, Tragjas, and the village of Radhimë. Its strategic position allowed control over the coastline and the roads leading to the Llogara Pass and the St. George Pass.

8.KUZUM BABA

Kuzum Baba is unique – the Bektashi Temple, located on a hill in the city of Vlora. This tekke, one of the most important for Bektashi believers in Albania, dates back to the 17th century. It is named after Baba Kuzum, an important spiritual leader of this community.

9.ZVERNEC MONASTERY

Zvernec Monastery is part of the Narta Lagoon and is situated on a small island connected to Zvernec by a wooden bridge. Besides its religious significance, this small island is located in one of the most picturesque places. Zvernec Monastery was built during the medieval period and is undoubtedly situated in a fantastic location.
