The Early Christian Mosaics of Lin are among the most important archaeological discoveries in southeastern Albania. They are located on a small hill at the entrance of the village, where a 6th-century AD basilica once stood. The floor of this basilica is covered with colorful mosaics representing symbols of early Christian life and faith — geometric patterns, birds, fish, and floral shapes connected to elements of nature and the spirit.

This complex illustrates the cultural and religious development of the area during the Byzantine period, when Lin was a thriving settlement along the trade routes connecting Korçë with Ohrid. The view from the mosaic site is breathtaking — Lake Ohrid stretches below like a mirror, while the village with its white houses and brown-tiled roofs creates a timeless atmosphere.

Visiting the mosaics of Lin is a short but meaningful journey into history: a reminder of the spiritual and artistic wealth that this area has preserved for over 15 centuries.
