The National History Museum is the largest and most important museum institution in Albania, located in the heart of Tirana at Skanderbeg Square. Opened in 1981, the museum aims to preserve, study, and present the history of the Albanian people from antiquity to the present day. Inside the museum, there are several thematic pavilions, including the Antiquity Pavilion, the Middle Ages Pavilion, the National Renaissance Pavilion, the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War Pavilion, the Communist Persecution Pavilion, and the Mother Teresa Pavilion.
